The Bracha Rishona on Raw Onions is as follows, Borei Pri Hoadama or Shehakol, and the Bracha Acharona is Borei Nefashos.
In a place where onions are eaten in their raw state, the Bracha is Hoadama. However in places where onions are generally not eaten raw, the Bracha on a raw onion will be Shehakol.Source: Brochos Study Guide by Rabbi Eliezer Wenger
